Bonolive® is a clinically proven bone health supplement. The results of a recent bioavailability study in 16 healthy subjects showed excellent uptake and an immediate improvement in antioxidant in the target group of post-menopausal women. The results will be published in the European Journal of Nutrition. Bonolive® has been recently included in 3 major supplement brands in the USA and Germany.
New publication and product launches
Bonolive® is a natural polyphenol extract from olive leaves which supports healthy bones. A recent parallel pharmacokinetics trial in a group of healthy young adults (n=8) and a group of healthy postmenopausal women (n=8) showed that Bonolive® was rapidly absorbed in both groups, whereby the uptake and exposure time was significantly higher in the target group of post-menopausal women (p<0.05). Interestingly, a parallel significant improvement in the plasma antioxidant status (+32%), an important process associated with osteoporosis, was found in the target group of post-menopausal women (p=0.016). This effect was directly correlated with the levels of circulating Bonolive® metabolites.
